Tế bào tự do (Planktonic Cell)

3 lượt xem Cập nhật: 28/08/2026 20:30
A free-living microbial cell not attached to a surface.

Planktonic microbial cells grow suspended in liquid or dispersed environments. They differ physiologically from cells in biofilms, especially in nutrient access, stress resistance, and antibiotic susceptibility. Many laboratory antimicrobial tests use planktonic cells, although real infections often involve biofilm-associated populations.
