Cổ khuẩn (Archaea)

Archaea are unicellular prokaryotes with unique membrane lipids, cell wall chemistry, and genetic machinery. Many inhabit extreme environments such as hot springs, hypersaline lakes, or anaerobic sediments, although others occur in ordinary soils and the human microbiome. Their molecular features provide insight into evolution and biotechnology.
